This webinar shared about the resources of the U.S Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Elder Justice Initiative. Our presenters share key statistics on elder abuse, provided an overview of the types and warning signs of abuse, and demonstrated the resources available through the Elder Justice Initiative website. The Elder Justice Initiative coordinates the Justice Department’s enforcement and programmatic efforts to combat elder abuse, neglect, and financial fraud and supports state and local efforts to combat elder abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation through training, resources, and information. The webinar also highlights the role of the national Eldercare Locator. This webinar is brought to you by ADvancing States’ I&R Support Center, AIRS and n4a. Our presenters were Maria Shumar, Victim Specialist Consultant, and Andy Mao, Elder Justice Initiative Coordinator, from the Department of Justice, and Patrice Earnest, Director, Eldercare Locator, n4a.

This webinar was held June 29, 2017.
